It was also nominated for Oscars for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (Eddie Murphy), Best Achievement in Costume Design, and several for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song. The film won Golden Globes for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (Eddie Murphy), and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (Jennifer Hudson).
