Therefore they used that as a model to create a similar constitution, embodying the essence, ideals and structure. Seldom found, it has be issued in a rather small edition, strictly appealing to the foreign reader. . CONDITION: The Binding; The book is in the original publisher's black, blind-stamped cloth with gold spine titles. There is some typical old discoloration here and there, still in black, and not greatly obvious. . The book is firmly bound. There is some typical lightly and finely penciled notes in Japanese by a student of law on several pages. These Japanese translations are squeezed into the small space between sentences. This is not obtrusive or annoying, it merely points out just how hard a Japanese student struggled to understand the gist of the text. . . Otherwise there are no marks, stains or any other issues of concern. There is a neatly penned former owner's name written on the first free leaf in pen, who lived in Taipei. . The book otherwise shows no signs of wear or use. . * The Dust Jacket: The book comes with the original dust jacket, now in a Mylar protector. There were some of the usual minor rubs to the folds, by and large nicely till intact for a book over 100 year old! .
