Riassunto: Rodney Hatch is Dr. Edward Maynard's great-great-great grandson. In the spring of 1997 he found copies of Dr. Maynard's letters from 1845 in his Father's garage in upstate New York. This book is the result of his discovery of these letters and his passionate interest in his genealogy, his interest in American History and his interest in the history of the development of firearms from the early flintlocks to more modern cartridge guns. He received his BA in political science from Williams College and he received his M.B.A. in finance from Fordham University Graduate School of Business Administration in New York City.
