The first transcontinental Railroad, the Central Pacific Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad, a dream conceived by Theodore Judah and finaced and built by Charles Crocker, Mark Hopkins, Leland Stanford, and Collis Huntington, and finally joining at the Promontory Summit, May 10, 1869. With much on the trials and tribulations of this major undertaking. With information on Grenville Dodge, the Pony Express, Mark Twain, etc., and the Indian problems most notably the Indian Attack on Julesburg.
