Pink paper portfolio, ornate border stamped in gilt on boards and along spine; oblong, 172 x 107 mm; contains 30 loose leaves, half of them with engravings or hand-colored decorative borders, all of them with a handwritten note, sentiment, motto, or greeting. From numerous contributors, located in Wien, Munchen, Cassel -- even Paris -- all of the sentiments are in German. In two cases, an engraving is shown once in b/w, then hand-colored, with the sentiment on the verso. One engraving, "Dass Schloss am heiligen see bey Potsdam," appears to have a carefully constructed word game on the verso. A few are a little faded and fragile, adding to the beauty of the collection. Codice articolo D7475
