Su questo libro:

Riassunto: A practical how-to garden guide no matter where you live. Learn how to grow in containers, window boxes, street tree beds, backyards, roofs, and even on your neighbor's wall! Offers where-to ideas, solutions, support, and resources for all who would love to grow their own flowers and vegetables (but don't think they have a place) and ideas for those who want to join in or initiate community garden, local park, or public gardening efforts.

L'autore: Barbara Hobens Feldt was the founder and director of Friends of Pier 84's all-volunteer, decentralized Manhattan Botanical Garden. She wrote grants to save and beautify the pier (reopened in 2006) in the Hudson River Park, distributed native plants to 40 satellite garden volunteers, and designed and secured grants for the Concept Garden at its entrance. She volunteered and secured grants for the NYC's Parks and Recreation Department, Clinton Community Garden, Adopt-A-Tree programs, and researched and designed the historical reconstruction of Striker's Mansion gardens along West 52nd Street in DeWitt Clinton Park. Feldt is a gifted gardener and designer and an articulate, ardent speaker, and an active member of the nationwide gardening community. After 18 years of gardening in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen, she and husband Fred moved up the Hudson for more gardening space opportunity.
