Riassunto: Culled from the remains of an original scrapbook comes a long overdue publication of the work of an architect who all but defined the Spanish Colonial Revival of the early twentieth century. Containing magazine articles and photographs published during Smith's lifetime, this book is an essential addition to the library of any student, practioner or afficionado of Southern California Architecture. It also contains a brief introduction written by Marc Appleton.
L'autore: Marc Appleton practices architecture throughout the United States from offices in Santa Monica and Santa Barbara. His work, which draws inspiration from historic vernacular architectural resources, has been widely published in Architectural Digest, Town & Country and many other periodicals. He holds degrees from both Harvard College and Yale University's School of Architecture. In 1998 he wrote an introduction and bibliography to the new addition of Rexford Newcomb's Mediterranean Domestic Architecture in the United States published by Acanthus Press.
