Their story caused a sensation and was subject to much ridicule. This book examines the ladies, their backgrounds, the adventure itself (known as the Moberly-Jourdain incident or the Ghosts of Petit Trianon or Versailles, and in French les fantômes du Trianon / les fantômes de Versailles), and whether it was adream or real etc. Illustrate with photographs, maps etc. Condition: A good copy.
