Riassunto: A Girl Like Me is a candid and detailed account of Loverly Sheridan´s life while pursuing her childhood dream of travelling the world and the lessons in which she learned along the way. It chronicles her amazing journey of self-discovery through her personal experiences and encounters while living in the USA, Australia, Japan, China and Sweden. On her journey, she was forced to face her fears, overcome obstacles, accept great risks and step out of her comfort zone to learn more about different people and cultures. It showcases her “outside the box” thinking and her struggles along the way. Through every experience, she learned the value of staying true to oneself and their core values. Her experiences on her journey caused her to live life with a more open mind and greater humility.
About the Author: Loverly Sheridan was born and raised on the beautiful island of Saint Lucia. Growing up on an island for her was great fun, and she is especially proud of being raised in a unique culture with great values and traditions. As a child, she dreamed of seeing the world, and often imagined what life was like beyond the clouds, but back then, opportunities for traveling the world seemed bleak, since she was from a single parent household of six children. However, she never gave up on her dreams, and at the age of twenty four she decided to pursue them and begin her journey. On that journey, she has seen six of the seven continents, and had the privilege of living in Australia, Japan, China, USA, Barbados and Sweden, and visiting such countries as Singapore, Poland, South Africa, Mauritius, Holland, Egypt, Argentina, India, United Kingdom, Morocco, Italy, France, Uruguay among others. She is passionate about life and everything in it, and is happy to call three amazing countries home: Saint Lucia, the U.S and Sweden, each of which have enriched and heightened her passion for traveling and writing. Loverly Sheridan has a Master’s degree in International Relations from Griffith University in Australia. Visit her online at www.loverlysheridan.com
