Riassunto: A collection of essays examining the situations and plight of disabled people in America as seen through the eyes of a disabled Black man.
About the Author: Gary Norris Gray was born in Princeton, New Jersey as a healthy baby, but was diagnosed with Cerenral Palsy at the age of two. Because his parents were unwilling to let their son be placed in a state care facility, they insisted that he be educated in the public school system. That battle was a successful but uphill one, and Gary Gray took his Bachelors of Arts in World History from Southern Illinois University. He moved to Berkeley and now lives in El Cerrito, CA alone. He s in a wheel chair, but he is an activist for disabled rights; he writes about sports and disabled rights for two web magazines.
