Riassunto: A guide to the variety of porcelain patterns produced by the firm of New Hall at their factories at Shelton in Staffordshire between 1782 and 1835, this book aims to be comprehensive and documents over 900 patterns. New Hall, under the orignal partnership of Heath, Warburton & Co, was founded in 1781 as manufacturers of hard paste porcelain. In about 1812 the company changed their production to bone china. By 1830 the company was in decline and in 1831 the factory was unsuccessfully put up for auction. It was later rented out but the final closure and sale of stock did not take place until 1835. The author is an antique dealer specialising in 18th century porcelain, pottery and glass.
