Riassunto: A sweet contemporary romance, a journey of forgiveness, ownership, and recovery...

All Abigail Miles wants is some time and space?to be left alone, hoping to find peace in solitude in the sleepy Oregon town she has fled to. That is, until she's discovered...

Haunted by her past, made a pariah by the media, Abigail feels like her entire life has been destroyed. But the gentle patience of widower Craig Port and his young daughter, throws what Abby knows into doubt. Her profession is to know people, yet she is a total stranger to herself. She believes she doesn't deserve their kindness, their mercy or their love.

Can Abby learn to trust Craig's insights and risk what he has to offer? Or will she keep on running... from herself?

Praise for Handle with Care:

...a highly visual adventure into the heart of a woman who is guarding herself from pain...The depth of character and richness of imagery makes me long for a sequel! ~ Cynthia Kildare

I was hooked from the first paragraph and read this book in one sitting. I loved the story and the writing... The story worked on every level. Emotional and realistic in every scene. ~ Helen Moore

...a beautiful little vignette of a love story... The characters are strong and open, and as a sufferer of PTSD myself, I was grateful for the sympathetic but honest way its symptoms have been dealt with by the author. ~ Lorraine Pestell

L'autore: Emily Porterfield has been writing for most of her life.

She grew up in the Northeast, captivated by the austere beauty of nature - the contrast of granite spires, breathtaking gorges and huge deciduous trees ablaze in autumn splendor. She can't imagine a life without these companions: trees, lakes, sunsets and moonlit nights. Her heart has been tied to the land since she was a child, and she draws inspiration from it.

Emily has ventured to the ends of the earth to view pristine places of immense natural beauty. She finds them awe-inspiring and grounding. No wonder these setting creep into her work.

Emily started writing in her early teens, primarily prose, poetry, lyrics, and music. She was first published in college - multiple pieces of prose every year - then graduated to nonfiction while continuing to write lyrics and attend graduate school. Emily is a composer, explorer, nature photographer and amateur filmmaker. You'll find her living off the beaten path enjoying many a Norman Rockwell moment. She loves roaring fires, quiet moments at home, a good sweet German Riesling, and believes embers must be the 8th wonder of the world - a distinction shared only by her editor, Tara. When she isn't stargazing, hanging out at the farmer's market, hugging trees or mastering a Rachmaninov piece, you'll find her writing sweet romances with a bit of comedy, drama or suspense, in bite-sized novellas or cozy novels lengths.
