First Edition. 12mo., orginal paper covered boards with teal colored leather spine. viii, 336, 60 pp. Including 2 folding maps in black and white (one is the "plan" of Edinburgh and the second one is the "environs" of Edinburgh). Both maps are in excellent conditiion , complete and with regular neat original folds and wiithout any creasing, tears, holes, marks, etc., except for one 3/8" closed edge tear in top margin of map (not affecting printed matter) and a shade of darkening. Front board almost completely detached, hanging on only by the bottom horizontal of the backstrip; rear board firmly attached. Lacking leather of the spine but with teal leather of about an inch on front and back remaining but none of the edges of the signature showing on the spine, The text block is nice and solid. Boards plain brown with one small faint dampstain, rounded corners and light rubbing to edges and light darkening. In short old boards without any unusual defects. Interior nice generally crisp clean pages with occasiional dogears and minor spots of foxing and very infrequent small neat pencil marks (e.g. date in Arabic numerals noted on title page) but no notable defects.
