About the Author: Tony Brewer is a Midwestern poet and spoken word performer. He co-founded MATRIX: a space for literary and visual arts (1998-2010) in Bloomington, Indiana, and for that org hosted dozens of events and exhibitions; published zines and anthologies; and showcased local, regional, and national writers and artists. He also co-founded the first poetry slam and touring slam team in Indiana, and is one-quarter of the poetry performance troupe Reservoir Dogwoods. He has two other books: The Great American Scapegoat (self-published, 2006) and Little Glove in a Big Hand (Plan B Press, 2010). He has been a recording engineer for radio poetry modules and he produces the Spoken Word Stage at the Fourth Street Festival of the Arts and Crafts in Bloomington. A respected spoken word performer, Tony is also an award-winning sound effects artist, and he has taught, directed, and performed live sound effects for productions across the country. He is the house sound effects artist for The Firehouse Follies live broadcast variety show, and has been on staff with the National Audio Theatre Festivals since 2001. Tony is also an announcer for the Bleeding Heartland Rollergirls; a screenwriter with Roller Mortis Films; and the Official Fact Checker for The Encyclopedia Show-Indianapolis.
