Su questo libro:

Riassunto: This is a qualitative study conducted in June?September 2008 to investigate influence of the disability movement in Indonesia. Based on the interview and qualitative analysis, first , it is discovered that there is no similar understanding among disability activist who are interviewed within this research regarding problem faced by disabled people and in particular the disability movement and formulation of the movement it self. Therefore this research assumes that this might cause the ineffectiveness of the movement. Secondly, this research shows that the presence of the disability movement in Indonesia has given influence at leas in raising consciousness and awareness toward disabled people which is shown from establishment of more and more disability organizations, arranging self-advocacy and self -help through contribution of more and more organizations, and influencing disability in both national and local level which can be seen from legalization of disabled people act in 1997 and some local regulation regarding disability. Finally, based on barriers of the disability movement which are identified, this research proposes some recommendations
