Old half red calf leather with raised bands and orange cloth boards. In each of the spine panels is a different gilt vignetter ie, dog, horse, fox, horseshoe etc. The cloth has a number of light marks and dusting but the leather is in lovely condition with light wear only to spine with NO CHIPPING & NO SPLITTING. Small mark to head of leather on top left of front panel. Normal wear to leather corners. Internally CLEAN. Neat old ink name & date 1876 to endpaper. 16 hand coloured illustrations by Alken. An occasional light fox spot within text. Hand marbled endpapers. A very nice edition & would make a lovely present. Codice articolo 12835
