Very good copy in the original gilt-blocked cloth. Some stainging and sun-toning to boards. Minor fraying to the top of the spine. Slight suggestion only of dust-dulling and rubbing to the spine bands and panel edges. Previous owner's stamp to front pastedown. Konigsmark, the story of Prince Christopher, Count Konigsmark, was first published by A. E. W. Mason in 1938. In 1940 the author gave Whistler an advance of £100 for a set of drawings, which were finished after some difficulty during his military service in the summer of 1941.
