Descrizione libro Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1941. Hard Cover. Condizione libro: Very Good binding. Condizione sovraccoperta: near Good dust jacket. First Edition; First Printing. A scarce first printing of Fitzgerald's final novel, edited by Edmund Wilson after Fitzgerald's death. Many feel it was shaping up to be his finest. Given its size it was packaged with several of his early short stories as well as The Great Gatsby. Surprisingly, this was only the fifth appearance of The Great Gatsby, preceded by the first two Scribner's printings in 1925, a British edition, and the scarce Modern Library edition in 1934. Also included in this edition are some of Fitzgerald's most successful short stories; a very nice copy in blue cloth; offsetting at the endpaper else contents clean and binding sound; there is a faint vertical soft crease to the first dozen or so leaves running parallel with fore-edge about 1/2" in (very minor); dust jacket retains its $2.75 price on the front flap; generally shelfworn with loss at the top and bottom of the spine affecting the author's name; now protected in a mylar cover; additional images available upon request.
