Riassunto: This account of Toyah's life reveals how she was bullied at school for being dyslexic, got into the drug culture, found love in a lasting marriage, lost all her money in the Lloyd's scandal and learned to be positive through it all.
L'autore: Toyah dominated the Music Polls between 1979 and 1983 and won Best Female Singer in the 1982 Rock and Pop Awards. She has had 13 top 40 singles and made 15 solos albums. In an equally prolific acting career, she has made 11 feature films, appeared in over 20 stage plays and had numerous television roles. Since 1994, as well as sustaining her acting, she has assumed a career in presenting. She has appeared on programmes including Holiday, Fasten Your Seatbelts and Watchdog, embracing a spectrum of subjects from religion to sex to leisure. Toyah can currently be seen on BBC 1 in the lead role of Aunt Boomerang and as a roving reporter for the Heaven and Earth Show.
