First Edition. This copy belonged to book critic Louden Kelly of the Rocky Mountain News in Denver. Laid in is a Typed Letter Signed by the author, ÒWill JamesÓ dated September 11, 1930 written from James Ranch in Pryor, Montana, in which he thanks Kelly for reviewing his book. Ò.My Story has brought me many fine reviews but yours stands out as one of the very finest. I can see that you wasnÕt only reviewing a book when you wrote what you did. You put something down that you wanted people to know and you wouldnÕt of cared if youÕd had to pay to get that writing out.ItÕll please you to know that ÔLone CowboyÕ is going great. If IÕm to do any more work I can only answer but one fifth of the good letters I get from readers who praise it. So you got a lot of backers on what you said in your review. All around, IÕm pretty daggoned tickled.Ó With the original envelope. With Louden KellyÕs ownership signature. Front hinge repaired, a used and read copy in a very good first issue dust jacket. Letters from James with interesting content are very uncommon. Codice inventario libreria 5702J
