About the Author: David decided that there was a need for an English language book solely about Madiran and Pacherenc wines. The South West is his favourite area; a land of good hearty food, hills and mountains. Over the past few years visits to Gascony with his wife, Karen, have enabled him to build a knowledge base, get to know the wines and vineyards, and discover stories about the wine makers and the region. He hopes to whet your appetite for the wine and encourage you to visit this beautiful part of the world. This is his début book, written in his spare time. As an amateur he conveys an enthusiasm for his subject and hopes to share that with readers, particularly those unfamiliar with Madiran and Pacherenc. David lives in Lacour, Tarn et Garonne.
