L'autore: One of the most important wtriters and journalists of the country, Carlos Heitor Cony was born in Rio de Janeiro, in 1926. He became famous as editor and columnist at Correio da Manhã. Author of many award-winning books, Cony has books translated in Mexico and in France. The novel Quase memória (almost memory) marked his return to fiction in 1995, after a twenty-three-year silence. He has recently been elected member of Academia Brasileira de Letras (Brazilian Academy of Literature).
