Descrizione libro Dial Press, New York, 1971. Hardcover. First edition. Very good in a good price-clipped dust jacket, which shows wear to the corners, shallow chipping to the jacket spine at head and foot, light rubbing. This copy redeemed, at least partially, by the exuberant full page inscription by the author on the front free endpaper. Despite the obvious wear to the jacket, still an attractive copy of what is, in the opinion of many, one of the best surfing novels yet published---or, perhaps more to the point, one of the few novels about surfing which also happens to be well written. A sleeper, and not particularly common when signed. Codice libro della libreria 0000539
Descrizione libro Dial, NY, 1971. Hard Cover. Condizione libro: VG+. Condizione sovraccoperta: VG+. First Edition. One tiny ding (smaller than a pencil eraser) on spine but affects dust jacket and layer of book. Dust jacket is price-clipped. Overall, a tight, clean copy of this scarce novel on Surfing. Considered by Surfing aficionados to be one of the best (along with Nunn's Tapping the Source). 234 pp. Codice libro della libreria 012132
Descrizione libro The Dial Press, 1971. Hardcover. Condizione libro: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Dustjacket included. First Edition. ISBN . Hardback. First Printing as stated on the copyright page. Very nice full page inscription from the author to the previous owner on the front free endpaper, reading "ALL BEST WISHES TO XXXXX, WITHOUT WHOSE SENSE OF HUMOR NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE, JIM HOUSTON, RIO DEL MAR, JUKY 31, 1971". Small previous owners address on the same front free endpaper, and small prefious owners inscription on the next page in, Otherwise a Tight sound unmarked copy in Good condition. The worst flaw to the book is that there is some heavy rubbing to the spine title and author black lettering which has rubbed out about half that lettering. Dustjacket is in Good to Very Good condition with slight chips and creases around its edges. $5.95 original price is still present and unclipped on the front dustjacket flap. We have placed the dustjacket in a Brodart clear plastic protective cover and it looks much better than described. The rubbed spine lettering is a bit of a bummer, but it is concealed well by the dustjacket, and the real plus to this book is the great full page author inscription on the front endpaper. Inscribed by Authors. Codice libro della libreria 206381
