About the Author:

TED BENTON is Professor of Sociology at the University of Essex, UK. Amongst his current interests are environmental issues and modern social theory, especially the links between socialist and 'green' perspectives PAT DEVINE is Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Manchester, UK having retired from the University's Economics Department in 2004 PETER DICKEN is Visiting Professor in Sociology at the Universities of Brighton and Essex, UK. He is also Associate Lecturer in Sociology in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Cambridge, UK. JOHN LAW is Professor in Sociology at the Centre for Science Studies at Lancaster University, UK GREGOR MCLENNAN is Professor of Sociology at the University of Bristol, UK SANDRA MOOG is currently finishing her PhD in the Sociology Department at the University of California at Berkeley, USA and she also teaches in the Sociology Department and in the Centre for Environment and Society at the University of Essex, UK EWA MORAWSKA is Professor of Sociology at the University of Essex, UK JOHN O'NEILL is Hallsworth Professor of Political Economy at Manchester University, UK ANDREW SAYER is Professor of Social Theory and Political Economy in the Department of Sociology, Lancaster University, UK KATE SOPER is Professor of Philosophy at the Institute for the Study of European Transformations at London Metropolitan University, UK ROB STONES is Professor in Sociology at the University of Essex, UK where he was Head of Department from 2004 to 2007
