This VG- quality third format book was copyrighted in 1910 and was published by the Henry Altemus Company; it is 7-1/2" tall with 252 numbered pages of text followed by 16 unnumbered pages of ads. This book is square, reasonably clean, free of edge dings and corner bumps though all four corners have a small degree of color loss; the head and heel of the spine are bumped with some wear and discoloration but no fraying; the bottom edges have a moderate amount of wear. The spine is somewhat soiled; however, all the lettering and the image are intact and not damaged; the front panel applique (which makes this a format #3) is very clean and has virtually no wear. Except for a inked inscription [name/address/date ("Dec 25, 1931")] on the FFEP and a tiny bit of that page s lower corner missing, the interior is free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and paper damage of any type. Both hinges are quite strong and not damaged in any fashion. The text paper is very slightly toned and the paper remains extremely flexible. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. It has a frontis + 3 on plain paper. The list at the rear of the book lists all 12 titles in this series. The RFEP has a tiny book store sticker: "E. W. Edwards & Son / Rochester Price: 25¢". The VG- quality jacket is reasonably clean with a small chips at all four corners; there are tiny chips at the head and heel of the spine and several tiny folds on the upper front panel.
