Riassunto: This volume contains carefully considered black letter and commentary very much in the traditional ALI mode, stating and elaborating principles for judicial cooperation among the three NAFTA countries: the United States, Canada and Mexico on matters involving insolvency and bankruptcy. The commentary provided reflects, and is informed by, the realities of bankruptcy law and practice in each of the respective countries.
About the Author: The American Law Institute was organized in 1923 and its founders included Chief Justice and former President William Howard Taft, future Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes, and; Judges Benjamin N. Cardozo and Learned Hand were among its early leaders. One of the founding principles of The American Law Institute was the need to address uncertainty in the law through a "restatement" of basic legal subjects that would tell judges and lawyers what the law was. These 4 volumes represent ALI’s pioneering effort in transnational law reform.
