Brand New, Unread Copy in Perfect Condition. A+ Customer Service! Summary: "Into the Psalms is an excellent introduction to understanding and applying the poetry of the Old Testament to ones life. In this study, Rolan Monje gives a thorough description of the characteristics, content, and types of psalms found in the Psalter and guides the reader in proper methods of interpreting this type of Biblical literature. Then in the last section of the book, he gives practical illustrations for allowing the Psalms to change ones life. I heartily recommend this book to every disciple."--Glenn Giles Elder and Director of the Rocky Mountain School of Ministry and Theology Denver Church of Christ, Denver, ColoradoIn reading this book, you will indeed get into the Psalms as the title promises, and in so doing, you will get more out of the Psalms than ever before. Rolans in-depth explanations and practical directions are excellent. His intellect, knowledge, and writing skills are equally matched by his humility, an all-too-rare combination. Once you start reading this book, you will not want to put it down until you have plumbed its depths.--Gordon Ferguson, Teacher, Los Angeles Church of ChristSince the beginning of our friendship as fellow-teachers, Rolan Monje has consistently impressed me as a man of God. This is a brother as conscientious about his work as he is dedicated to our Lord. Into the Psalms reflects not only this heart and integrity, but also a deep reverence for the word of God. It is extremely well written and theologically informed, yet easy to follow. In the spirit of the psalmist, and with Rolan Monjes helpful direction, you too will echo the ancient words: I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name. for you have exalted above all things your name and your word (Psalm 138:2).--Douglas Jacoby, Author and Teacher, Executive Director of Athens Institute, Marietta, GeorgiaI loved Into the Psalms. Rolan has masterfully blended expert biblical scholarship with practical devotional application. Read this book. You will be enriched and educated in equal measure, but most important of all, you will draw closer to the God who inspired the Psalms to be written.--Malcolm Cox, Minister and Teacher, London Church of Christ. Riassunto: Far from dry and dreary religion, the Psalms' treatment of worship and prayer is spirited and sincere. The Psalms proclaim that all are invited to encounter God and to dialogue with him. This book is a scholarly but moving study of the Psalms and is divided into three parts in which we learn about the world of the Psalmists, the message of the Psalmists, and the message of the Psalmists in our lives.

About the Author: Dr. Rolan Dia Monje, evangelist and teacher, has spoken in various settings in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Indochina, and the Asia-Pacific region. Rolan graduated from the University of the Philippines (BS in electrical engineering) and the University of London (BD in biblical languages). He earned his master's and doctorate degrees (in pastoral theology) from American Bible College, Florida. He and his wife, Weng, have led ministries for twenty years. They have two daughters, Yana and Stefi.
