Pages uniformly trimmed. No wraps bound in. Light rubbing at board edges, otherwise in Fine condition. 3 scores stamped "Scharfenberg & Luis" (N.Y.C. publishers and importers of music, 1845-1866). -- The first edition scores (whether of first or later printings) rarely offered for sale, and scarce in library collections: no complete sets in CPM, BNF, BSB, ONB/Hoboken, or NUC and OCLC. The earliest collected editions date from 1875 or later. -- Cf. Cooper, "F.M.B." (2001); B & H, "Thematisches Verzeichniss. . . ." (pl. 6925; n.d., but after 1851). Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
