Riassunto: As a follow up to the popular book Enjoy the Ride, Ride the Wave shares unique new insights that will help children manage change right now.
Using wisdom collected from his more than 20 years of teaching and coaching children, Dave Diggle shows, through powerful metaphors, how creatively adapting to transitions in life is the key to an enriched, empowered child.
This book is a collection of powerful and highly memorable stories for helping children deal with common life issues such as manners; nose picking; parental pressure; fear of storms; depression; structured thinking; road safety; performance anxiety; understanding limitations and cultural diversity.
Ride the Wave is a whole new collection of metaphors weaving a unique blend of practical and pragmatic approaches to problem solving which provide parents, teachers and trainers with a sourcebook of adventures that speak to the inner voice of children.
Born in London, Dave Diggle is the author of over 1000 articles and 4 books relating to problem solving, performance and learning.
After representing Great Britain as both a Junior and Senior International Gymnast, Dave channelled his passion into teaching and writing.
With a background as an elite performance coach, he has turned his attention to the psychological battles both athletes and coaches face in today's competitive world. With international qualifications in Psychology, Neuro Linguistic Programming and cognitive and behavioural science, Dave is now dedicated to the development and education of our children, athletes, coaches and parents.
Through his books, Dave offers a truly refreshing perspective as he redefines the meaning of effective communication, and offers a creative approach to how we can deal with life's challenges - to live with a peaceful mind and empowered spirit.
Dave now lives in Sydney and regularly talks to young audiences as an author, educator and public speaker.
