Riassunto: This collection of essays was inspired by David Harvey's desire to relate principles of social justice to the application of spatial and geographical principles in urban and regional planning. The result is an analysis of urbanism and social need. This reissue contains a foreword by Ira Katznelson and a new afterword by the author.

L'autore: David Harvey is Distinguished Professor of Anthropology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. His many books include A Brief History of Neoliberalism and Spaces of Global Capitalism: Towards a Theory of Uneven Geographical Development.
