Riassunto: StressMap® helps the user to explore sources of stress and personal responses to them. The Map pinpoints your strengths and vulnerabilities, detects burnout zones and helps you chart new strategies for enhancing personal health and overall performance. Ideal for classroom teaching or one-on-one instruction, the StressMap® can be used as the foundation for course design or incorporated into existing programs.

Essi Systems' StressMap® was created out of a desire to help people assess how they cope with stress and to teach them new ways of dealing effectively with it. Years of research and development went into its formulation to make StressMap® the high quality tool it is today.

In developing the instrument, a comprehensive review of the literature on stress in humans produced over 75 specialties. After many statistical analyses and norming sessions, the StressMap® was brought to market.

The major features of StressMap® are:
· Self-administered, absolutely confidential
· Reuseable grid to measure changes over time
· Completely norm tested and reliable
· Offers immediate feedback
· Uses non-technical language and is appropriate for all levels within an organization
· Measures strengths as well as vulnerabilities
· Focuses on issues that can be changed and skills that can be learned.

About the Author: In 1983, Orioli founded Essi Systems Inc., specializing in transforming workplace stress into optimal performance. Orioli promoted the revolutionary idea of positive stress performance and developed the StressMap®, the stress assessment instrument honored with the National Health Information Award. The StressMap® has sold more than 400,000 copies.

Orioli's newest company, Q-Metrics LLC, was founded with Robert K. Cooper, Ph.D., co-author of the critically acclaimed book, Executive EQ: Emotional Intelligence in Leadership and Organizations. Orioli created the EQ Map® featured in Dr. Cooper's book, which has become the premier assessment instrument for emotional intelligence in business. The EQ Map® employs the mapping technology created by Orioli at Essi Systems.

Through Q-Metrics, a firm dedicated to managing and developing human intelligences at work, Orioli and her research team continue to explore this exciting field. Most recently, Orioli has been working with Dr. Michael Ray of Stanford University to develop the first CQ® Map to measure creativity in business.

With more than 20 years of pioneering work in systems design, organizational mapping and behavior change technology, Orioli is a highly sought after speaker for organizations and conferences. An interactive presenter who creates an introspective learning environment for the audience, her most recent presentations were to Sun Microsystems, Arthur Andersen, the Professional Business Women's Conference in California and the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She has also presented to the American Psychological Association, AC Nielsen-Europe, the California Commission for Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST), and Sunrise Medical Inc.
