Riassunto: Melinda Ausband's experience in teaching, writing children's books for classroom use, and using the Tucker Signing Strategies for Reading in her classroom resulted in this set of reproducible Take-Home Books, a perfect complement to the Tucker signs. Each take-home book parallels a lesson in the manual, providing additional high-interest, low-cost material that children can take home and read successfully.
L'autore: Melinda Ausband of Milton, NC, has been an educator since 1964. She has worked as a psychometrist and a teacher of students with a wide variety of disabilities and disadvantages. Currently she teaches Title I reading in the public schools of Danville, Va.
For many years Ausband has designed and written specialized books in order to teach her students to read. While teaching the Tucker signs, Ausband designed each of the 44 reproducible books specifically for every lesson in Dr. Tucker's manual, one for each Tucker sign.
