Riassunto: How To Think about GOD on a Plane is the first of a series of books by Benjamin Wiker aimed at air travelers. The idea came to him--to note the obvious--while he was traveling on a plane. Looking around, Dr. Wiker saw a whole lot of people either texting their lives away or reading what amounted to intellectually non-nutritious fare. That's when the idea struck him: Why not create books that could be consumed during the average flight experience--terminal to terminal--but with a lot more meat? Why not use the time to go deeper into the great questions and great issues of life? And so, How To Think about _______ on a Plane was born, the blank being filled in the first of the series by GOD. How does this book differ from other short treatments of big subjects? The reflections within these covers really are tied directly to your experience of riding on a plane. In How To Think about God on a Plane, the Plane itself helps you to think much more deeply about God. And so it will be with the other books in this series. Again, the point in each is to give you, the plane traveler, some real intellectual meat to chew on, some deeper thoughts that will change your views by the time you (gently) hit the runway. How To Think about GOD on a Plane will transform the way you think about God wherever your travels may take you thereafter!

L'autore: Benjamin Wiker is, first of all, a husband of one wife and a father of seven children. He graduated from Furman University with a B.A. in Political Philosophy. He has an M.A. in Religion and a Ph.D. in Theological Ethics, both from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Wiker taught at Marquette University, then St. Mary's University (MN), Thomas Aquinas College (CA), and finally Franciscan University (OH). During these many years, he offered a wide variety of courses in philosophy, theology, history, the history and philosophy of science, the history of ethics, the Great Books, Latin, and even mathematics How To Think about GOD on a Plane is Dr. Wiker's twelfth book.
