Riassunto:

A Divine Messiah? ..A Jewish Idea?

- Tzvi Nassi
, son of an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi, made an astounding discovery in Targum Isaiah, an ancient Jewish text authored around 30 BCE, credited to Jonathan Ben Uzziel. According to the Jewish Encyclopedia Jonathan ben Uzziel was "Hillel's most distinguished pupil". (Suk. 28a; B. B. 134a)

Tzvi Nassi was so impressed with the message of Targum Isaiah that he translated it into English. This new edition of that English translation, as it was faithfully translated from accepted Jewish sources, is published here with both Jewish and Christian parallel texts of Isaiah, for convenient comparison with the Targum.

Uncover the amazing truth for yourself that Tzvi Nassi was so excited about. What truth is that? Jonathan Ben Uzziel taught, and the early Synagogue believed in: a Divine Messiah! For example:

"The prophet said to the house of David, "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and He has taken the law upon Himself to keep it. His name is called from eternity, Wonderful, The mighty God, who liveth to eternity, the Messiah, whose peace shall be great upon us in His days."
(Isaiah 9:6 TTI)

As Tzvi Nassi exclaimed:

"If the doctrines of Jonathan Ben Uziel are considered by the Synagogue to be inspired [which they are], it follows that the present Jewish faith cannot be the faith of their fathers."

Jews, Christians, and Messianics will all be amazed by Targum Isaiah.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The purpose of TSIYON EDITION TARGUM ISAIAH is to put a very usable and helpful English edition of Targum Isaiah into the hands of the ordinary person. It is the publisher's belief that access to and understanding of the implications of the message contained in Targum Isaiah should not be reserved to a narrow group of academics and specialists, since the message of Targum Isaiah can be apprehended by any reader. The low price of this volume compared to other versions of Targum Isaiah reflects the publisher's commitment to make this volume available to the ordinary person, although more specialized readers will also enjoy the special features and low price.

~ Jewish readers will enjoy the English text of Targum Isaiah with parallel Jewish Publication
Society (1917) text of Isaiah, to easily compare the two. Targum Isaiah is of special interest to Jewish readers because it reveals the theology of the Hillel School of the ancient Synagogue.

~ Christian readers will enjoy the English text of Targum Isaiah with parallel World English Bible text of Isaiah, to easily compare the two. Christian and Messianic readers will find Targum Isaiah of interest because it demonstrates the ancient theology of a divine Messiah as having a Jewish origin, predating the New Testament Scriptures. Indeed, the only difference in this regard between the teachings of the Jews at large during the first century era, and the talmidim (disciples) of Yeshua of Nazareth (Jesus of Nazareth), was that the latter considered their Rabbi to be the divine Messiah revealed in Targum Isaiah.

~ All readers will find it interesting to compare Targum Isaiah with the other two English texts of Isaiah, while contemplating this amazing ancient text.

OTHER BIBLE STUDY BOOKS BY ELIYAHU BEN DAVID

The Messianic Revelation Series: Volume 1 ANNOUNCING: JUDGMENT DAY
ISBN 9780967947136
Thousands of books have been written on Revelation, most from one of only a handful of theological schemes. Finally, one book has been written that offers a truly unique perspective on Revelation. The author plainly demonstrates in these pages, from a Messianic Jewish perspective, that the prophetic message of Revelation speaks to the very time and situation which grips the world today.

HOLY ORDER RESTORED
ISBN 9780967947112
What this book does is more important than what it is about. What it does is get you back in touch with the fundamentals of what it means to be a man or a woman. That may sound too simple to be of benefit. Actually, exactly the opposite is true. The age in which we live is far removed from God's original purpose in creating men and women. Most of us really do not know why we were created or how we were intended to function or even what our true inheritance is in this earth. This book can help with that!
