Riassunto: Changing this world was impossible. Creating another one was worse. And escape was out. She was trapped. Like everyone else in Gepeth, the princess Lenora has the ability to make whatever she imagines real. But all Gepethians have agreed not to use this power-all but the headstrong Lenora. Her parents try to solve the problem of their daughter's disobedience by arranging a marriage with Coren, Prince of Andilla, who has the power to read other people's thoughts. Unhappy with this arrangement, Lenora attempts to flee from the ceremony. She does escape, but to her dismay, she discovers that Coren is by her side--and that isn't the only problem. A collaboration between acclaimed writers Carol Matas and Perry Nodelman, this roller coaster of an adventure is filled with twists and turns, excitement and fun. It is an extraordinarily creative fantasy about empowerment that compels readers not to take everything at face value.
About the Author: Perry Nodelman is a professor of English at the University of Winnipeg. He is the author of "The Pleasures of Children's Literature", an introduction to literary and theoretical approaches to children's literature recently released in a new third edition written in collaboration with Mavis Reimer. He has also published three novels for young adults and, in collaboration with Carol Matas, the young adult Fantasies in the Minds series.
