Riassunto: VOICES OF AFGHANISTAN is a collection of various voices, alongside the beautiful imagery of everyday life in Afghanistan. The reader will be taken through the themes of Conflict, Culture and Hope in relation to the lives of Afghan women. Both men and women discuss not only the limitations and violence the women face, but also the astounding strength and resilience that allows them to rebuild their lives and country. The viewpoints are firsthand accounts obtained by Heather Metcalfe during her three-week visit to Mazar-e Sharif and Maimana, Afghanistan in June '09. Portions of proceeds will be donated to organizations working on the ground in Afghanistan with women and children.
