Riassunto: The Ought is written for young adults who wonder where morals come from and whether we just make them up. We all experience the "ought" though we don't always like it and even flee from it. What is it and where does it come from? The Ought is an ethical quest to answer those questions. Intriguingly illustrated, it brings these ethical questions to life.
L'autore: Ned Wisnefske teaches in the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Roanoke College where he is Schumann Professor of Lutheran theology. His most recent book is God Hides: a critique of religion and a primer for faith. Renae Dower has been drawing, painting, sewing, dancing and generally weaving her way into artistic situations and creations for as long as she can remember. She feels grateful and exalted to have The Ought be the first book she was lucky enough to illustrate, and hopes for the chance to illustrate many more in the future. Renae lives near the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia with her family and four wacky and wonderful dogs.
