Riassunto: Using the authors collection of museum quality miniature cannons, the book shows full color photos of 98 cannons in chronological order, dating from the mythical Stone Age cannon of King Oog, through the pregunpowder age of catapults and trebuchets to the earliest cannons using gun powder and then through the various types of naval, field artillery, mortars and fortress guns, ending with the gigantic "Dora" of World War 11, which basically ended the cannon age.

L'autore: The author, Ralph Koebbeman, an engineer has spent most of his life testing various mechanical appliances, ranging from gas furnaces to aircraft engine appliances, but his life time love has been for models For the past 25 years he has pursued his hobby of collecting miniatures, especially guns and cannons and has amassed what he considers to be the finest collection of miniature cannons in the country, if not in the world.
