Darley reluctantly supplied the introduction at short notice when it became evident that Southey, Moxon's first choice, was unequal to the task. Of little textual value (it was soon superseded by Dyce's edition) but important for Darley's long introduction, which has never been reprinted. Codice articolo 3854
