A significant Association copy. INSCRIBED BY CLAES OLDENBURG TO PHOTOGRAPHER DUANE MICHALS, FOR YEARS A FELLOW MAINSTAY OF THE CREATIVE AND ARTISTIC SCENES IN GREENWICH VILLAGE. A crisp, very sharp copy to boot of the 1967 1st edition. Tight and Near Fine (a touch of foxing at the fore-edge) in a bright, price-intact, Near Fine dustjacket, with just the slightest hint of wear at the tips and along the foot of the spine. Very light creasing as well near the spine crown, otherwise clean and very well-preserved. (From the title page: "Documents from The Store {1961} and Ray Gun Theatre {1962} -- Selected by Claes Oldenburg and Emmett Williams -- Photographs by Robert R. McElroy"). Also includes a pristine example of the original business card for "The Store" (at 107 E. 2nd St.), which is inserted into its glassine pocket pasted-on to the front free endpaper.
