The work was limited to only 250 sets but no limitation is present in this set. There is a note in pencil on a front-free endpaper"NB - Mauritius Museum copy 1905 Joseph I. S. Whitaker" so this may have been an extra set for presentation by the author. Volume I: pp xix, 294, with a photogravure plate, a photographic plate, 13 hand coloured plates and a folding map. Volume II: pp xviii, 410, with a photogravure plate, a photographic plate, 2 hand coloured plates and a folding map. Top edges gilt. The coloured plates are by H Gronvold. A very nice set.
