Cloth. Good/No jacket. 4to-over 9 3/4" - 12" tall. First Edition. First Printing. Not an ex-library. Boards show moderate soiling with scattered impressions and shadows of a few erased pen marks. Corners are heavily bumped, with slight tearing of the top layer of boards at head of spine. Hinges and binding are secure. Several pages show sporadic soiling and smudges, but illustrations remain clean and bright. No names, gift inscriptions, or bookplates. Despite flaws, this is a charming copy of a rare first edition.
