This is a story of a journey through times past. The mafia, Jimi Hendrix, and the Dalai Lama all play a part in this story. The journey starts in Chicago and transitions to the newly baptized Route 66 on a cross-country trip that will change them forever. Two Brooklyn boys step out of their traditional lives and explore the world. It takes them to far away places like Morocco, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, India, and more. They meet with remarkable people on this journey, seeking a greater understanding that they cannot find in their own country. It is a time of upheaval in America and the hippie generation is starting to gain momentum.

L'autore:
The author started his career in the mailroom of the Ashley Famous Agency in New York at the age of twenty. He moved on to work at ICM and became the head of the Rock and Roll department of that agency in Chicago. He had the good fortune to be at the right place at the right time. We represented some of the greatest R&R bands of all time including The Cream, CSNY Crosby, Stills Nash and Young, Jimi Hendrix, Vanilla Fudge, The Turtles etc. After some years he became restless and disenchanted with the agency business and left for experiences that he could not get in America. In 1970 the author set off for India to discover what enlightenment really meant. During six years of travel to Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and many more places, he came back to America a changed person. He was one of the original investors of the L.A. Weekly and had several other successful investments. He worked at MGM with Aaron Russo and made such great films as Trading Places and The Rose with Bette Middler. Met his wife Danielle and had two children with her and moved to Berlin, Germany to raise them. And now is living in Los Angeles.
