Much of the literature within the internal arts describes the energy system and the movement of the energy, but the specifics as to development of Chi and explanations as to its theoretical foundations within the scientific model are missing. This book is designed for the internal arts practitioner who needs some means of understanding this energy and also would like to employ techniques that would facilitate its acquisition. The elusive nature of the energy system requires an indirect means of applying some basic principles. The development of esoteric energy and the warrior mind require a different approach from those common to the external styles. This difference is treated uniquely and in detail by the author.
The striking arts of the internal arts, especially Tai Chi, have been ignored and the health and exercise benefits have been promoted by the Tai Chi community. This book is a must for anyone wishing to gain the health benefits from the Tai Chi experience.
