Our hero sees his misery as just a word that describes the beauty of living. Despite all of the poet’s bravery against the norm, he still suffers from the hardest of all human adversities, which is change. He has found a way to merge art and life, but his real challenge is to find a way out of his own convictions. This book is about the artistic courage to risk everything for nothing.

Roof Alexander is an American novelist and short story writer, who describes his style as generational fiction. For over a decade he has been traveling the world and completing works that capture the identity of the millennial generation. Roof calls Brooklyn his home where he helps lead the current artistic movement with his novel To Be Heard: A Story about Williamsburg, Brooklyn. His first release is the short story collection titled, They Always Leave. Inspired by the people that so easily came in and out of his life while living in Central America and other places around the globe.
