Are you one of those people who wince at the sight of your fellow rally-goers heading to the showers in the morning clutching an official licnensed towel and bar and shield sponge-bag? Do you ever wonder what happened to those innocent days before the brand was so blatently used on so many irrelevent bits and pieces? if so, this book wil open your eyes to a harsh reality: they didn't exsist. Okay, so they were nothing like as prolific or necassery to sell in dealerships, but watch fobs and tie clips, pocket watches and pennants have been with us since the early 1900's and are getting increasingly collectible whether a local dealer promotion, service parts and packaging, trophies or brochures. the 105 years of the Motor Compony to date has left a 105 year trail of ephemera which really sets the context of the bikes through the fast pace of contemporary graphic design throguh the 20th century; and the diffrence between a 1949 brochure, dealer sign or owners manual and a modern one is easier to spot than betwenn a retro-painted heriateg softail and a first model year Hydra Glide. This book is one of the best written for the Harley Davidson Collector. Well written and illistrated. Highly recommend --American Iron

You might not have 10 or 20 grand to drop on a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle, but there are plenty of Harley collectibles that you can buy for a lot less. And many of them are detailed in a new book --Orlando Sentinel
