Fed up with the cash-obsessed nature of football's top table, lifelong Spurs nut Adam Michie trades his White Hart Lane seat for a season ticket at Leyton Orient. Although not an uncommon act these days, Michie writes with much warmth as he reignites his love for the game, making for an uplifting read. --FourFourTwo

While the book will inevitably be of interest primarily to Orient fans, it should also appeal to supporters of teams elsewhere in the lower echelons of football, who will recognise many of the author's observations. At the same time, the enthusiasm with which Michie writes may encourage others that there is still much enjoyment to be had spending a few hours in the company of friends and family watching a match on a Saturday afternoon. Overall, the book is solidly written, and it's hard to disagree with anything Adam says about the wider footballing world... You could certainly do worse than to buy a copy for your Spurs-supporting mate who always says he's going to come and watch a game with you one of these days, but never does... --Leyton Orientear
