All somehow linked to a secret blackmail operation at the heart of the government intelligence machine. Leandro, a Falklands War air force veteran and former banker, irresistibly abetted by his sexually intrepid mistress, Samira, rapidly finds himself at the interface between the excesses of the "dirty war" and a fringe world of complex emotional and sexual relationships. Against the backdrop of current events in 2007 and 2008, the action moves from Buenos Aires to the beaches of Punta del Este and on to Zurich, as Leandro pursues Samira in the wake of her strange relationship with a world-class dominatrix. Blackmail, espionage and corruption at the highest levels of government cohabit in this thriller with the old world charm of the capital of Argentina, a country balanced precariously between the glories of its early years and the political and economic crises of the last half century. Leandro and Samira not only discover a sinister world which lies below the surface of Buenos Aires, but in the process find their own emotions tested to the limits.
