King Henry V, the hero of the battle of Agincourt, founded Syon Abbey in 1415. The famous Abbey was built on the banks of the Thames and was the home of the Bridgettine Sisters of the Order of the Most Holy Saviour, established by Saint Bridget of Sweden in 1370.
