Alta Black is a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Besides the raising of her family, her work outside of her home was always in the business field, accounting and management. She was born in Colorado, lived in Idaho, California and Oregon and now resides in Mesa, AZ. Her travels have taken her through the entire western and midwestern states plus Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and Mexico. This is her first book, which has taken her several years to complete. She had always had a desire to write a book and after a reoccurring dream she decided to use it as a story base. Once she started writing ''''A JOURNEY OF FAITH AND COURAGE'''', the dreams stopped, assuring her that this story needed to be told. Her camping, hunting, hiking and exploring mountains gave her the insight to the descriptive terrain of the area in her story.
